RCFF Shootout 2009

This was intended to be the biggest RC-meeting in Sweden 2009 but the weathergods wanted differently. 80mm of rain just about turned the runaway back into the bottom of the lake it was in the 9:th century when the vikings used the waters to sail to the lake Mälaren. Several of the 73 entries did their best to fly useing plastic bags from the mall to cover their transmittors, callers with umbrellars and a will to show the brave spectators what the best of modelflying is about. Modellers came from all over Sweden, from Norway, from Åland. From Belgium came a group called Harofly with giant scale models flying Bill Hempel designed models in a spectacular way. Bill himself came together with his wife all the way from America to meet their swedish friend "Wesse" and to participate. The film covers most of the flying and with english comments in the unlikely event that there is someone who doesn't understand the swedish speaker on the spot.
